In June of 2005, Aina and I attended Dog Scout Camp in Michigan,
where Aina learned how to paint, worked on agility skills, and worked
on her swimming manners. At camp, she earned her Dog Scout title and
the Art of Shaping and Puppy Paddlers badges. In the fall, we began
taking obedience classes [at a local dog trainer] to brush up on her
baisic obedience. Then, this winter, Aina earned her AKC Canine Good
Citizen title! In January, we moved out of our apartment and into a
house with a nice big yard. And in February, we adopted a 14 week old
puppy from White Paws German Shepherd Rescue who we named Tatsu. Aina
really enjoys having a little brother to play with. Aina and I have
continued taking classes in both Rally Obedience and Agility and she
competed in her first Rally trial this spring where she had one qualifying
run. We are hoping she does equally well or better next weekend in
her second Rally trial. During the spring, Aina also learned how to
pull a wagon and she has been visiting the farmer's market with us
to help us haul our groceries home. She loves to cart and will cry
piteously if we put her harness on her and fail to hook her up to her
wagon.

With all the Halloween excitement and festivities of last week, Aina has handled
herself very well.

She follows obedience commands well enough that I can fully trust her off leash...if
I have to I can even call her off of rabbits after she starts chasing them.

Adopted December 17, 2001
Angel (renamed Aina by her new family), a 2-3 three year old, large, White German Shepherd truly lived up to her name! She was a very sweet, extremely cuddly, fully crate trained, belly-rub-lover and a gentle soul.
