Adopted December 2006
Jake is a senior rescue at the request of another loving rescue who hates to see good, loving, loyal seniors killed because their owners dispose of their old dog. Jake has been such a doll since the very first day, he knew he had it good the second he stepped outside of the pound. A couple baths later and his beautiful, shiny coat glows and he is soaking up the lovin'. Currently set for a retirement of cuddles and snuggles, Jake thanks all those who believed in him, kept him longer that policy states, and loved on him daily until he could make his great escape to home life. Although, he wonders about the "big surgery" at 10 years old, the wandering the streets ladies days are over. His ears have required treatment also. He has been a real trooper. We value all life, especially the lives that have provided endless loyalty, only to be discarded in their golden years. Thank you to the shelter workers that saw past his cloudy eyes and soft gray muzzle, and knew he deserved a quiet, safe, warm spot on the floor in a loving home for however many blessed years we may have with him.
