Maggie has been with us for about 3 months now ... We spend much of the day on training walks and playing ball while practicing her sits, stays, downs, etc. She is not well behaved around other dogs so that is the major part of our work right now. She has made great progress in the past few weeks and is eager to please, most of the time! Still skeptical of humans coming into her home but warms up quickly and drops her ball or frisbee at their feet. ... She loves the snow and is not at all phased by the below zero temps we've had lately. She has learned how to catch a frisbee and now values it ALMOST as much as her balls! We attend a group training class every week and she is a star performer. ... Thanks for all of your hard work.

A special thank you goes out to Molly's sponsors: John and Marla Ewers in honor of Kaiser. Ron & Sheri Jones in memory of their two Shepherds. Rebecca Kuk in loving memory of her beloved Oscar the GSD. Mark & Janet Koonce in honor of Bodie. Kali and Jason McDowell. Steve Hitz in memory of Marah & Gretchen. Stella Briggs. Joe Moreno

Molly

Adopted October 2006

Molly (renamed Maggie) was a 3 year old black/tan, spayed, female, German Shepherd Dog. This high-drive, playful, toy-driven, loyal girl looked for an adventurous home that would provide many sniffing activities and lots and lots of playtime. Molly lived well with kitties and small dogs, but may have been better with big dogs. Her play drive caused her to smoosh small members of the family with her paws, and they didn't like it. She would never hurt them, just the size difference for play wasn't fair to the little guys.
