She is the BEST dog! As you can see her and Rosie are good friends. Sadie loves to swim at the dog beach and is very sociable. She learns quickly and opens the patio door to let herself in from the backyard. Now if she would just close it behind her.

I work with people with Alzheimer's Disease and Sadie seems to know she should be extra gentle when she comes to visit. She is a great advocate for Shepherd rescue because whenever I am complimented on her looks or behavior, I tell people where we adopted her and about Petfinder.com.

3 purebred pups

Adopted September 28, 2003

Paige (renamed Sadie)
Phoebe had the blonde face, the other two were interchangeable (Phoebe and Piper shown left). They were 12-14 weeks old and were going to be huge! They were very sweet and cuddly and would be wonderful dogs. They had a very rough life. Their previous owner's intact dogs bred together (unplanned) and resulted in a litter of nine pups. The owner sold three, and was going to shoot the other six. He wound up taking them to his local pound. They had excellent care from the people at the shelter, but during a brief visit to the veterinarian, contracted Parvo from another litter of puppies. They were in foster care when they became ill, but due to the nature of Parvo, three puppies didn't make it. These three sisters were the only ones left, and after all of this movement and trauma, through cooperation of multiple shelters, rescues, and foster homes, these girls have been saved. We want to thank everyone who was involved.
