Raven is doing great. She is feeling very
much at home and Cooper has finally accepted that she is here to
stay
(I think he really even likes the idea). She will be starting
obedience (good citizenship) class soon. One of her favorite things
is our frequent trips to the dog parks with all of our friends.Photos: 1) Raven makes herself at home 2) Raven, hoping
Cooper won't notice she's there 3) Raven enjoying a hike with
some friends 4) Cooper wonders,
what's with all the pictures?

She is such a joy to have. Raven came to us at 5 months already knowing the sit
and come commands, as well as pretty much house broken. She is wonderful with
everyone (and other dogs) that she has met. She has already made lots of friends
at the dog park, which she loves to visit often. Although Cooper (our 41/2 year
old lab mix) was quite jealous, they have both been adjusting well to each other
and I think he actually likes having her around now. Cooper is teaching her the
ropes of getting along in the house and I'm hoping he will pick up on the wonderful
manners she has while riding in the car. I look forward to many happy years with
Raven.
Adopted December 2005
Raven was one of five puppies that were 12-16 weeks old. Applications were collected and screened through Central Illinois German Shepherd Dog Rescue and our adoption requirements and protocols as well as the adoption fee was the same. However, this was a collaborative effort with another rescue group and the adoption contracts and requirements for continued care and review was through the private rescue organization.
