Rosie continues to settle in well. She is really taking to me. Our vet told us that they think her weight could break 100 lbs by as much as 15 lbs. ...She really is a beautiful girl.

A special thank you goes out to Rose's sponsors: Larry Wilson in memory of Hruska. Michael and Sherry Eckert in memory of Ezekial and Lechariah. Steve Hitz in memory of Marah.

Rose

Adopted July 17, 2005

This little girl was dumped by a man who backyard breeds and is well known in the area for his apathy towards the proper care of animals. He dumped Betsy and Rose without any explanation. They are both intact and currently in season. This means they are on lock down for several weeks until the vet can spay them safely.

Rose is a 1 1/2-2 yr old fawn/black sable and is extremely intelligent. She has been treated poorly so far in life and knows it . She wasn't going to tolerate being mistreated and neglected, and we believe she was dumped due to her general suspiciousness and non compliance to being forced or beat up. She is as sweet as honey, and we hope she will blossom into the puppy she should be--carefree. She has no aggression, but is very suspicious and shy at first. Once she knows you are a nice person, she rolls right over for a full belly rub and snuggle. She isn't asking for much, just a reliable, safe home, someone to love, feed and keep her dry and warm. She wants a patient quiet home with lots of love and a nice comfy couch. She loves her friend, but may be better off being an only dog and not having to reestablish and go through the complexities of a multi-pet household. Her old dad was a jerk and she needs the simple, reliable, life that everyone deserves.
