Well, the good news is that Shelby seems to be adjusting fine. She is just a great dog, calm yet fun, very loving, and oh so soft. We are having fun getting to know her. She is already a great addition to our family. She gets invited to snuggle with us on the bed before we go to sleep, greets us when we wake up, and she has also taken to being on "squirrel patrol" in the back yard.

A special thank you goes out to Shelby's sponsors: Gregg and Jane McManus. Paul and Stephanie Tarrant in memory of Katie.

Shelby
Adopted October 2006

Shelby made friends with everyone who met her. At the pound she came from, the volunteers and staff would take her out, play with her, and spend extra special time with her because she was such a special spirit. Her transporter mentioned that the staff cried when she left, because they were so happy she would be safe and not lose her life. They had taught her shake, sit, and other tricks. She was so very loving and playful.
