We're moving our little rescue across town!

Our President, Elizabeth, and our VP, Rick Riddle, are getting married in May. Congratulations to them both!

Since we are a small rescue and no one gets paid for any work that is done (we're all volunteers), we're in desperate need of donations for the alterations that need to be made to make the new location up to code for our rescued dogs.

Currently, we've been able to continue with the construction because a generous volunteer has not only donated to this effort, but has also been able to loan us a large amount of money. Unfortunately, we have no idea how we're going to repay this loan. We ask that you consider donating $5 or $10 dollars to help us pay back this loan. If a number of people donate this small amount, soon the rescue can be free of this debt that comes with giving the rescue dogs a better place to spend their time while waiting for their forever home.

Where the dogs are kept now (usually between 6-12 of them) is in a basement area with kennels and crates. There is a very small (6 by 10 ft) outdoor run for the dogs to socialize and potty in, but that is all. At the new location, there will be several yards (areas divided by 6 foot tall fencing) for the dogs to run and play in. They will no longer be housed in a basement, but rather a large shed with good ventilation and insulation. This is indeed a step up for our rescue.

We do the best we can and always strive to do better. All our volunteers have full-time careers/lives and donate their free time to helping us continue this rescue effort. This includes the people who run the rescue (the President and the VP). In their case, they donate all their free time and a lot of living space!

This is why, if you can offer a few dollars (or even a few hours of your own time), it would be greatly appreciated. Below are some photos of the green board and ceiling tiles going up in the shed.
