SAMSON is a 2 year old, black, German Shepherd, neutered, male. He has an easy going temperament. He just LOVES people and is just a good dog. At his examination, some hip discomfort was noticed upon rotation. Xrays revealed that he has hip displasia, but such a wonderful guy deserves every chance, so we started him on a regimen of veterinary chiropractic adjustments, cartilage builder (with a natural anti-inflammatory) and moderate exercise. His energy level has increased and his gait has noticeably improved. He's had playtimes with his pal Belle (who's since been adopted), who was not a rough playing gal (we didn't want to overstress his hips) and said "that's just what I needed!"
NOTE: Samson is having hip surgery and will not be adoptable untill he has fully recovered. Please contact the Humane Haven Animal Shelter if you might be interested in adopting Samson after his recovery is complete.

KYLE is an 11 mos old neutered Shepherd mix boy. He has striking dark good looks. He was abandoned by his owner (who moved away and left him in the backyard). Kyle was pretty scared when he first came to the Humane Haven Animal Shelter, but he has quickly warmed up to all the love and attention he's getting from the volunteers. Kyle is looking for a home without cats.
