Heart of Oak
feeders are made from solid oak and are just beautiful. If you choose to purchase any Heart of Oak product, please type "Central IL GSD Rescue" in the "How did you find us:" box at checkout since that will allow us to receive a small commission on each product sold. We appreciate your support! Note: It is recommended you select a feeder no taller than height of the shoulder blade of your dog minus three inches.

Kooper and Leiah share the top of the dog house
Update (8-1-04): Kooper and Leiah share the top of the dog house!

Here's Leiah cooling off
in her swimming pond
(Spring 2004)
Update (6-11-04): Leiah's family writes, "Here's Leiah cooling off in her swimming pond."

Kooper in his forever home
(Spring 2004)
Update (6-14-04):Kooper loves the swimming pool, but really prefers to play with the garden hose
Update (3-19-04): Leiah will pick a fight with Kooper when he's on the couch so then he gets off the couch and she hops on and just flops down. They like to chase each other around the dog house and every once in awhile after they have been playing and they come inside, one of them is usually missing their dog collar (mostly Kooper). Don't know how she does it but she gets it off of him every time. They both love to sit on top of the dog house and bark at everyone. We love them very much and try not to spoil them too much (Ha!) Wouldn't trade them in for the world.
UPDATE (3-9-04): Kooper's family writes, "Kooper and Leiah are doing great. Both are now weighing in 77.6lbs (Kooper) and 76lbs (Leiah). It took them about a month to become friends but now they are velcroed...They are such wonderful and comical dogs to watch. Leiah & Kooper
(Christmas 2003)
Update (6-5-04): Kooper's family writes, "Here's the kids at Christmas time (only six months late, but just now got a new scanner) They're doing just great!"

2003
Kooper's 1st birthday!
Update (January 2003): Luke's parents write: He (Kooper) is now around 55lbs and loves the snow. Couldn't get enough of snow. When it first started falling he would jump up and try to catch it. Ice cubes are another favorite of his too. Don't know why, but when you go to get ice, he's like a cat that has heard the can opener. He has a trick where he will drop his toy into the bathroom waste can and then pick up something else out of the trash as if he's trying to say, "Hey, this is a fair trade".

Kooper (December 2002)
Update (December 2002):luke (Kooper) is happy with his new family and spoiled too! See his picture with Santa.
