Peyton is doing wonderfully. She and Pierce are best pals. It is hard for us
to imagine what it was like before we had her around! She is so smart, does
well with obedience and loves to go for walks and play in the yard with Pierce
and our daughter.
We will definitely have to send recent pictures. Pictures are a challenge,
we tried to do a family shot for [our Daughter's] school project and it seemed
like we never got one with both dogs in cooperation.
Thanks again so much for allowing us to adopt her. I don't think we will ever
purchase another dog from a breeder with all of the wonderful dogs out there
like Peyton in need of a home.
Adopted
January 15, 2005 Shelly (renamed Peyton) was a 2-3 yr old female
(spayed), black/red, German Shepherd Dog. She was a beautiful,
very sweet, and well mannered dog. She had also made fast friends
with her doggie pals and had done very well with children of all
ages. She had some double dew claws on her rear legs, that we suggested
having removed at some point to prevent tearing of the skin, but
the rescue just didn't have the resources to spend on cosmetic
surgery. This very well mannered, crate trained, housetrained girl
was just waiting for a home. No really dramatic story to her life.
She was just given up because her owners claimed to not have time
for her.
A special thank you goes out to Shelly's sponsor: Aileen O'Dea in memory of her beloved Kobi. Would you like to be a sponsor?
