Name: Jackson
Color: Black/Red
Size: Large
Gender: Male-neutered
Age: DOB approx 1/04
Floor-friendly: Crate trained/housebroken
Good with kids: but can become very protective. May not do well in a home where there is a lot of traffic in and out of the house.

Sleeps indoors: Sleeps indoors and has slept outdoors on nice days with other dog buddies.

Jackson is a 1.5- 2 year old, neutered, male, black/red, German Shepherd Dog. "Action Jackson" lives up to his name. He plays with all of the big dogs, though we have to watch him around the smaller dogs. He loves to chase rabbits, squirrels, cats, and gives the eye to our wiener dog every now and again. He is a powerful dog that isn't large, but has a thicker build and is lower to the ground. He needs a German Shepherd savvy home that is willing and able to train him appropriately. He is capable of jumping short fences, though makes no attempt at a 6 foot fence. He likes toys, and makes a very good watch dog in his home with a good bark. If you are an experienced German Shepherd home and think Jackson would be a good match for you, please fill out an application!

It only takes a $20 donation!
Remember, any of our dogs can have more than one sponsor!

Please fill out an Application if you are interested in adopting or would like more information about this dog. We receive a large number of emails asking if a particular home or situation is appropriate for a dog in our care. To evaluate this, we need you to fill out an application.

If you have questions about adoption fees and what the fees include, these questions will be answered in the Application information before you fill out any information about yourself. Applications will be responded to before any other inquiries.

We do thank you for considering adopting a dog through rescue and believe that by saving the life of a dog you show that you are a compassionate and caring person. Please remember that we are an all-volunteer, foster-based rescue that receives no government funding and functions on proceeds from our adoption fees and private donations.
